There is no better way to enjoy the fall oranges, yellows, and reds than to play a round of golf. It is a great time of year to enjoy the course with a group of friends or family. The air has cooled, the crowds have thinned, and the trees are full of beautiful fall colors. It seems even better knowing that it may be the last few times you have the chance to get out on a course before the inevitable snow begins falling on the ground.
Golfers enjoying the fall colors on The Lakes course
At Ruttger’s, we have two wonderful courses for golfers to enjoy. The Lakes, our 18-hole Championship course, was designed by Joel Goldstrand. With two natural lakes, water is a factor on ten holes. The course is carved from 100 acres of rugged north-woods terrain, and each hole will offer you a challenge as well as the beauty of northern Minnesota. Alec’s Nine, designed in 1921, is a par 34 course that is designed to challenge golfers of all abilities.
Fall is also a great time of year to improve your golf game. You can practice your drives on the range or work on your short game on the putting green. Or if you would like some professional advice on how to improve your game, schedule a lesson with one of our Golf Professionals, Jamie Alderman or Kris Boike. Private golf lessons are available in 30 minutes, 40 minutes, or 9-hole intervals.
