Whether you prefer an outdoor ceremony with beautiful Bay Lake as your backdrop, or romantic indoor affair in the gorgeous dining room and ballrooms of the historic Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge, your special day will be a dream come true at our Minnesota wedding resorts.
Our wedding planners will work with you on all the details that will make your wedding one-of-a-kind, including guest accommodations, food and reception planning. Our 3000-square-foot Island Ballroom will accommodate up to 300 for your dinner reception. Less expansive rooms are also available, depending on your guest needs.
Ruttger’s professional chef and staff will prepare and serve a wonderful meal for your reception, and the renowned pastry chef will be happy to bake and construct the wedding cake of your choice. We can also assist you in finding local vendors such as photographers, musicians, florists, and DJs.

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
Looking for a scenic Minnesota destination wedding? Say your vows on the shores of beautiful Bay Lake, and then enjoy a 45-minute pontoon cruise for the bridal party!
- Includes: ceremony setup, white or brown chairs, sound system, stage, pontoon cruise (maximum 14 people on pontoon cruises).
Wedding Social Hour
Receive your guests on the deck overlooking Bay Lake with a full bar service, hors d’oeurves, and snacks. Then, invite everyone upstairs for your reception with a delicious buffet or plated dinner served in a private banquet room.
Cocktail receptions start at 4:30pm.
Dinners start at 6pm.
Reception Room Rental Rates
Island Ballroom (up to 300 guests) – $1,500.00
Isle + Bird (up to 175 guests) – $1,000.00
Bird + Church (up to 100 guests) – $900.00
Isle of Pines (up to 120 guests) – $900.00
Room rental rate includes:
- Dance floor
- Sound system
- Cake cutting
- White linens
- Bar setups
LCD projector and screen rental available for additional fee ($150).
Subject to Minnesota Sales Tax of 6.875% and service charge of 18%. Prices subject to change.
There is a $10,000 wedding minimum. The minimum can be met with the combined cost of food and beverage, as well the nearby Brainerd wedding resort room rentals and lodging for you and any of your guests. All receptions must reserve an indoor reception room.
