Who will win the Game of Towns?
Sunday, May 20, 2018
The event is a series of good-natured games of skill, knowledge and chance pitting people living in the Crosby-Ironton school district against people living in the rival Aitkin School District. The events will include a nine-hole golf scramble, a tug-of-war battle, trivia contest, golf ball finding competition and more. After the games are completed, there will be a dinner and raffle.
ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE READING PROGRAMS AT CUYUNA RANGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN CROSBY-IRONTON AND RIPPLESIDE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IN AITKIN.
How do we determine a winner?
Game of Towns Points will be awarded to winning teams and competitors. The school community with the most will be declared the Game of Towns Champion and receive a traveling trophy, and perhaps a chance to sit in the Iron Ore Throne.
In addition to Game of Towns Points, competitors and teams can earn additional donations to their school’s reading fund by winning competitions.
