Event Services Staff

Part of a team responsible for providing conference and event spaces set-up and clearing; barbeque and banquet set-up and tear down; set up all refreshment spaces for guests; set up, test, and properly store all Audio/Visual (A/V) equipment; maintain cleanliness and organization of the department areas; perform various deliveries to departments and guests.

Gardener

Responsible for overall appearance and cleanliness of the resort grounds. Coordinates and designs all landscape and gardening projects as requested.

Orders plant materials and other landscape supplies as needed. Maintains and cares for all grounds and landscape areas. Cares for interior plants.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the resort grounds. Operates landscaping department equipment. At times, may be asked to lead tours of the resort gardens.

Laundry Attendant

Sort laundry for cleaning. Spot clean heavily soiled items. Load used laundry into commercial washers. Add chemicals to washers to aid in cleaning.

Load wet laundry into commercial dryers. Sort and fold cleaned laundry.

Reservationist

Responsible for selling room nights and plans to families.  Create reservations, confirmations, modifications, cancellations. Helps front desk when needed.

Room Attendant

Strip bed linens; vacuum; dust; scrub sinks, tubs, toilets; sweep and mop floors. Clean fixtures; wash windows & mirrors. Make beds.

Ruby’s Assistant Manager

Assist in orienting food and beverage servers, server assistants, and host/hostesses. Assist in training new staff in their respective job duties.

Prepares and administers shift duty sheets to ensure all tasks are completed. Conduct meetings to cover menus, specials/packages, featured beverages, sold out items, groups, special dietary needs, buffet items. Ensures good safety practices of dining room staff. Prepare dining room layout and assign servers to sections. Assist host/hostess in assigning guests to tables. Assist servers as needed. Oversees dining room and bar flow for smooth and efficient operations.

Ruby's Dish / Utility Staff

Responsible for cleaning all dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and small kitchen equipment. Maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner.

Ruby's Host / Hostess

Greet guests upon arrival. Escort guests to assigned table. Assist with servers as needed. Familiar with dining room menus and beverage selections.

Able to answer guest questions regarding all resort facilities and surrounding areas. Takes dining reservations in person or over the phone. Prepares and maintains fire throughout shift. Straightens fireplace lobby.

Ruby's Line Cook

Prepares food items to ensure that food quality and presentation exceed expectations. Completes orders accurately and in a timely manner. Prepares items for cooking by peeling, portioning, washing, cutting and mixing follow resort recipes. Controls expenses by producing only what is needed, and preparing items correctly the first time. Properly labels, rotates and stores all products. Keeps coolers, storage rooms and reach-ins organized. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation and kitchen. Completes daily and weekly cleaning duties. Ensures good safety practices.

Ruby’s Salad Prep

Part of a production team responsible for all cold food items prepared in the kitchen. Portions and prepares items such as salads, cold appetizers, desserts, sandwiches, salad dressings, and cold banquet platters. Responsible for maintaining a sanitary kitchen work station. Identifies and selects cuts of meat, poultry, shellfish, fish, game, fruits, or vegetables used for cold food production. Prepares vegetables for salads by peeling, paring, coring, portioning, washing, sectioning, zesting, cutting, or scoring. Prepares garnish for cold food plates and platters. Prepares mousses, galantines, or gelatin molds for cold platters. Assembles sandwiches, cold appetizers, cold platters, sandwiches, desserts. Prepares salad dressings, cold sauces, and dips. Must be 18 or older.

Ruby's Server Assistant

Assist servers in order to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Ensures that all products meet Ruttger’s quality standards.

Zig’s Line Cook

Zig’s Dish / Utility Staff

Responsible for cleaning all dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and small kitchen equipment. Maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner.

Zig's Server

Greets guests and informs them of specials and any menu changes. Processes guest orders to ensure that all items are prepared properly and in a timely basis. If necessary, present, open, and pour wine for guests. Ensure guests are satisfied with food and service, respond to additional requests, determine when to clear table. Presents bill and collects payment. Performs all assigned pre-shift and post-shift duties. Maintains a clean and sanitary workstation. Completes daily and weekly cleaning duties.
